FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions About Our Unicorn Experience

Why do you charge an admission?

We charge admission for our Unicorn Experience to help support the care of our animals, maintain our beautiful farm, and create a magical, high-quality visit for all our guests. This includes everything from upkeep and supplies to costumes and event setup.

Hosting events like this allows us to cover essential costs such as property taxes, insurance, and ongoing maintenance (such as purchasing over $60,000 in fence materials in 2022 – we supplied our own labor since we don’t have employees)—helping us keep the farm running and open to the community.

Did you know?
The cost to keep a unicorn is over $4,000 per year, for feed, shavings, farrier, worming, and veterinarian shots. And that is if they stay healthy and don’t need extra Veterinary care.  This does not include the cost to buy a unicorn.

Did you know?
Every minute, the U.S. loses 2 acres of farmland to development—nearly 3,000 acres every day.

Your support helps preserve farmland and keeps our family farm alive. Thank you!

Why is there two levels of tickets?

Not everyone wants the extra perks of a Unicorn Lovers ticket so we offer two types of tickets for our event:

The General Admission ticket is a more budget-friendly option for those who may not want all the extras included in the Unicorn Lovers Package.

General Admission includes entry plus access to a wide range of activities: wagon rides, lawn and wall games, our charming carousel horses, storytime with princesses, a vintage camper photo booth, a scenic nature trail, Hoot N Holler Hill, Granny’s Stable, and live music.

The Unicorn Lovers Package includes everything in General Admission plus some extra magical perks! You’ll receive unicorn trading cards, a special unicorn name, unicorn poop (the fun kind!), a souvenir bag, a pony ride or a $5 coupon to our shop, access to the bouncy castle, and a refreshing lavender lemonade.

Why are Unicorn Lover packages limited?

We do limit Unicorn Lover package tickets because we make up these bags ahead of time, which means purchasing the items that go in the bags.  Unicorn poop has an expiration date, so it’s an item that we don’t want to over-purchase. We have to know we can supply all the items/services that come with a Unicorn Lover package.

Is there anything else I have to pay for?

If you choose to, there are a few optional add-ons available for an additional cost.

Guests can release live butterflies, and enjoy our delicious lavender lemonade* and lavender ice cream, both available for purchase.

*One glass of lavender lemonade is included with the Unicorn Lover package.

Third-party vendors at our Unicorn Experience also offer food, drinks, face painting, unique workshops, and shopping. These items are paid for directly to the local vendors.

Does my 2 year old (or under have to pay?

There is no admission fee for 2 and under.  If you want them to have everything that is included in the Unicorn Lover Package, then the economical way to go would be to purchase that for them. However, if they are only going to use/enjoy a couple items that come with the Unicorn Lover Package then it would make more sense to just purchase those experiences individually.

Can I bring my dog/pet?

Sorry, no. In maintaining good agricultural practices, we do not allow dogs/pets (see below for Trained Service Dog info) anywhere on the farm.  There are several reasons for our policy.

  •  INSURANCE REGULATIONS, we have signed an agreement with our insurance company that we do not allow outside dogs/pets (other than trained service dogs) on our property.
  • FOOD SAFETY – Lavender is grown in close proximity to the ground and is a high risk crop for contamination.  Contact with animals increases the risk of contamination of our lavender. Therefore, not even service dogs are allowed in the lavender fields
  • CUSTOMER SAFETY – We have many visitors to the farm. Dogs will be dogs, and no matter how well trained, dog bites, dog fights and other unpleasant contacts with other customers can sometimes be problematic. Some folks may be allergic to your dog.
  • FARM ANIMAL SAFETY – Strange dogs will stress and terrify our farm animals and it could affect egg and meat production. Remember, at the farm there are horses, sheep, pigs and chickens. To our Unicorns and farm animals, your dog is a stray animal (coyote, coy wolf, bobcat). We need our own farm dog to alert us when there is a stray animal on the farm. if there were stray animals (outside dogs) always coming on to her territory, she would be complacent and wouldn’t alert us or protect the farm animals. Your dog may carry bacteria/germs that may make our farm animals ill.
  • HEALTH AND SAFETY OF YOUR DOG – It’s important to be aware that farm animals (even those that have been vaccinated) can sometimes carry harmful germs that can cause a variety of illnesses in people and animals (dogs/pets).  Farm animals can kick or bite. We wouldn’t want to see your pet/dog get sick or hurt.

Therefore no dogs/pets (other than trained service dogs) are allowed on the farm property.

Only TRAINED SERVICE DOGS are allowed.
Trained service dogs are allowed, however service dogs are not allowed in the lavender fields or near our Unicorns and farm animals. The work or task a service dog has been trained to provide must be directly related to the person’s disability.  We ask that the owner of the service dog put the service dog vest on the dog that identifies that dog as a service dog and warns the public about not touching the animal. Owner must clean up after their dog. The owner of any service dog that causes a threatening disturbance can legally be asked to remove the dog from our property. As stated in the Federal American Disability Act, Emotional support Dogs are not considered a Service dog.

Please leave your dogs/pets at home.
